As electric mobility becomes an increasing part of everyday life, there is a growing demand for more efficient charging solutions. Electric vehicle (EV) fast charging stations with powerful DC chargers are the solution of the moment. DC EV chargers are an attractive option because they can achieve more efficient charging speeds than standard AC EV chargers, which are mostly used by EV home users. Typically, high-power DC charger designs use AC-DC and DC-DC converters to convert the incoming three-phase AC power to the DC voltage of 250V-750V required to charge the vehicle, building 15 kW to 30 kW sub-power modules.
