Application Notes
Intelligent sweeping robots are new floor and carpet cleaning appliances designed for modern home environments, using rechargeable batteries as a power source and combining cleaning and vacuuming functions. The basic architecture of a sweeper robot usually includes a central processor, power/battery management unit, battery charger, wireless communication module, human-machine interface, sensors and drive modules (brush and brushless motors). As the market and application requirements further improve, motor drive and lithium management are also developing towards high power density, miniaturization and long continuous operation time, which firstly requires reliable and energy efficient power devices, and secondly new package shape to achieve smaller size design is also very important.
